GEOTEK ENERGY, LLC

GeoTek Energy, LLC is a technology leader in the alternative energy / geothermal industry. Geothermal power is a renewable resource that has no emissions, neither hydrocarbon nor carbon dioxide. GeoTek is developing its Gravity Head Energy System technology which produces significantly greater power compared to the present state-of-the-art Binary Cycle power plant technology. Dave Marshall

Mr. Marshall joined GeoTek in 2009 as a financial consultant and was named Chief Executive Officer in June 2012. Mr. Marshall has over 30 years experience in providing financial, tax and legal advice within the energy, real estate and privately owned business environments. Mr. Marshall has a Bachelor of Accountancy degree with Special Distinction from the University of Oklahoma and earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Texas Law School. Mr. Marshall has specific experience in growing energy exploration and production and in advising start-up businesses.

Michael Pierce
Mr. Pierce is the lead consulting engineer on the GeoTek Gravity Head technology and has been involved with GeoTek since 2007. Mr. Pierce has more than 20 years experience including cryogenic process design, gas processing plant design, oil and gas production engineering, process control and remote data gathering/control systems. Mr. Pierce earned his B.S. with honors in Chemical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science from Colorado School of Mines.

Angel Sanchez
Mr. Sanchez joined GeoTek in September 2012 as Senior Mechanical Engineer.  Angel has experience in prototype design, product testing, fabrication and project management in the high tech, oil and gas equipment and other industries.  Mr. Sanchez graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1999 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering.  


 
Board of Managers

John D. Wilkinson
Mr. Wilkinson is the Chairman of the Board of Managers of GeoTek. Mr. Wilkinson is also President and Chief Executive Officer of Ortloff Technology Group and has been working for Ortloff for over 35 years. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry and a Master in Chemical Engineering from Rice University. Mr. Wilkinson has over 35 years experience in process and equipment design, liquid hydrocarbon recovery, gas sweetening, crude stabilization facilities, and sulfur recovery facilities. Experience includes development of several new and unique process designs for application to cryogenic hydrocarbon recovery technology; co-authored several patent applications; development and updating of computer programs for engineering calculations including thermodynamic equilibium, material balance and equipment sizing. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Midland, TX YMCA. 

Craig Campbell

Mr. Campbell is a co-founder and a manager of GeoTek. Mr. Campbell graduated from the University of Texas in 1972 with a BBA in Finance. Mr. Campbell was with Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith, Inc. from 1977 to 2010 and is now Managing Principal of Campbell & Associates Securities, Inc. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of COM Aquatic Center, and is also a co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Ortloff Engineers, Ltd. and a co-founder and Director of Trace Engines L.P. 

Glenn Lovelace

Mr. Lovelace is a co-founder and a Manager of GeoTek. He served as our President and Chief Executive Officer from October 2004 until January 2007. Mr. Lovelace has served as Chief Executive Officer of Peñasco Valley Telecom, Artesia, New  Mexico, since October 2006.  He is also a director of Services Management Corporation and Artesia Main Street.  Mr. Lovelace is a serial entrepreneur having founded four companies.  He is a former advisor to the University of Texas’ Center for Electromechanics.   He was also a contributing author of ENRICHING ECONOMY AND ENVIRONMENT: Making Central Texas the Center for Clean Energy. Mr. Lovelace earned an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. 

Bill Rutter

Mr. Rutter is a co-founder and Manager of GeoTek. He has been an owner and principal of Rutter and Wilbanks Corporation, an oil and gas exploration and production company headquartered in Midland, Texas, since 1981. He graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a BA degree in Plan II in 1975.

Lou Capuano
Mr. Capuano serves as a Manager of GeoTek and is the CEO and President of Capuano Engineering Consultants. He is the founder and former Chairman of Thermasource, Inc., a worldwide leader in geothermal drilling and consulting. Prior to establishing Thermasource, Mr. Capuano managed drilling for Thermogenics, Inc. and opened then managed the regional offices for Signal Oil and Gas Company. Mr. Capuano earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Southwestern Louisana and has over 32 years of goethermal experience.

Hezy Ram
Mr. Ram serves as Executive Advisor to the GeoTek Board of Managers. Mr. Ram has 25 years experience in developing and acquiring geothermal projects in North and Central America. Mr. Ram served as Executive VP at Ormat Technologies and was responsible for Ormat’s North America operations. After leaving Ormat in 2007, Mr. Ram founded Ram Power which he grew into a publicly traded geothermal development company prior to his departure in 2011. Mr. Ram retains his shareholder’s status in Ram Power and is currently a consultant focused on geothermal technology and development. Mr. Ram has an Engineering degree from Ben Guiron University and a MBA from the Hebrew University. 

Jill Haizlip

Ms. Haizlip is a Principal and Sr. Geochemist at Geologica.  Ms. Haizlip brings expertise in geology and hydrogeochemistry of geothermal systems, environmental geochemistry, and hydrogeology.  Ms. Haizlip has frequently applied her geothermal resource expertise to the design and operations for geothermal power on an international scope.  Ms. Haizlip earned her B.S. Geology at Middlebury College, and M.S. at Columbia.

Dr. Ronald DiPippo
Dr. DiPippo is aProfessor Emeritus Mechanical Engineering at UMass Dartmouth.  Dr. DiPippo is a world authority and consultant on geothermal power plants with over 35 years experience in the field. He was a visiting research professor and lecturer at Brown University in Providence, R.I. and at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In 2008 and 2009, he was a visiting lecturer at the School for Renewable Energy Science at the University of Akureyri, Iceland.

Dr. Jefferson W. Tester
Dr. Tester is the David Croll Professor of Sustainable Energy at Cornell University.  Dr. Tester is the director of the Energy Initiative in the College of Engineering at Cornell University and associate director of the Cornell Center for a Sustainable Future (CCSF). Until 2008, Tester was the H.P. Meissner professor of chemical engineering at MIT (1980-2008), director of MIT’s Energy Laboratory (1989-2001), director of MIT’s School of Chemical Engineering Practice (1980-1989) and a group leader in the Geothermal Engineering Group at Los Alamos National Laboratory (1974-1980).  Dr. Tester holds a B.S. & M.S. Chem. Eng. from Cornell and earned his PhD-Chem. Eng. at MIT.
