Binary cycle geothermal power plants have been the workhorse of the industry for the last 50 years. GeoTek has partnered with one of the world’s most well known process engineering firms to take the commonplace to its logical destination – the GeoTek Energy Module (GEM). A high quality, extremely reliable, skid mounted, power module capable of generating up to 3 megawatts power output. The GeoTek GEM offers one of the highest rated efficiencies for a conventional binary cycle geothermal power plant. The GEM is capable of utilizing any number of secondary working fluids including the latest environmentally friendly, non-flammable, non-toxic refrigerants that are highly efficient at transforming heat energy into electricity through the use of an expansion turbine.
